Certified translations

for your official documents

Certified translations by court-certified interpreters.

Certified translations are often mandatory for official documents which have to be submitted to Austrian authorities or public institutions.

Not every translator is entitled to issue certified translations. They have to be provided by specially authorised translators. The qualifications and certification examinations required for this differ from state to state and country to country. The generally sworn and court-certified translators of Schweickhardt Das Übersetzungsbüro have all the necessary qualifications and produce certified translations for your business relationships or official business.

Our certified translators confirm that the translation is complete and correct and certify it with a seal.

Certification according to ISO 17100 ensures absolute security

As a translation agency rich in tradition, Schweickhardt Das Übersetzungsbüro is committed to absolute reliability and security. This is why all translations are certified according to the ISO 17100 standard.

All workflows and processes are documented and the basic requirements for information and data security are met in multiple ways.

The quality and legal competence of our translators has been objectively examined and documented. In addition, every certified translation is checked using the four-eyes principle. This means that every text is checked again by another specialist translator.

This enables us to guarantee greater security and absolute confidentiality for your certified translations.

The different types of certified translations

A distinction can be made between different types of certified translations when translating for public authorities:

  1. Direct translation: In this case, the document is translated directly into the target language. For the translation to be legally valid, the translator in question must be sworn in for both languages.
  2. Indirect translation: Here the translation is produced via an intermediate language. For example, the English document is first translated into German before being translated into the target language Russian.
  3. Translation with supplementary legalisation: Schweickhardt Das Übersetzungsbüro takes the certified translation straight to the appropriate office. This is usually a court or administrative office. There the translation is legalised by being signed/certified once more.

Schweickhardt Das Übersetzungsbüro has a large number of court-sworn translators with a wide range of language combinations.
