Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 May 2018

The privacy of your personal data is important to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of statutory provisions (GDPR and Austrian Telecommunications Act, TKG 2003). This privacy policy is to inform you about the most important aspects of data processing on our website.

1. Contacting us

When you contact us through a form on the website or by email, we store your data for six months for the purpose of processing your enquiry and so that we can answer any follow-up questions. We do not disclose these data to third parties without your consent.

2. Cookies

Our website uses cookies, i.e. small text files that are saved to your device by your browser and which do not harm your device.

We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some cookies remain on your device until you delete them, and they allow us to recognise your browser next time you visit our website.

There are three categories of cookies:

  • Essential cookies to ensure the availability of basic functions on the website
  • Functional cookies to ensure the performance of the website
  • Targeted cookies to improve your user experience

Statistical analysis (tracking)

The following targeted cookies help us obtain a statistical analysis of site use.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, i.e. text files which are saved to your computer and allow the service to analyse your use of our website. The information that is created by cookies about your site use is usually sent to a Google server in the United States, where it is then stored. However, if you have activated IP anonymisation for this website, your IP address is first truncated by Google within the member states of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address is only sent to a Google server in the USA and truncated there in exceptional cases. Acting on behalf of the operator of this website, Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide further services to the website operator in connection with website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser to Google Analytics is not merged by Google with any other data. You can prevent cookies from being stored by using the relevant setting in your browser software; however, please note that, if you do this, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website.

Furthermore, if you wish to prevent Google from collecting data generated by cookies and related to your site use (incl. your IP address) and if you want to opt out of such data being processed by Google, you can download and install a browser plug-in at the following link:

https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

You will find more detailed information in Google’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy at https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/us.html and https://policies.google.com/privacy.

IP anonymisation

Your IP address is recorded, but immediately pseudonymised, e.g. by deleting the last 8 bits, so that only rough tracking is possible.

Social media cookies

The default on our website is that we do not use social media cookies or send such data to social media platforms. This does not happen unless it is actively initiated within a social media service (sharing, tweeting, etc).

Functional restrictions without cookies

If you do not want this to happen, you can configure your browser to inform you of the use of cookies, so that you only accept cookies on a case-by-case basis.

However, if you refuse to accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be restricted.

You can always delete the cookies that are on your computer. The procedure varies from one browser to another, so you will need to consult the user guide of your browser (“Help” in the browser menu).

3. Your rights

You have the following rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of the use of your data, data portability, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data privacy law or that your data privacy rights have been violated in some other way, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, the data protection authority is called Datenschutzbehörde.
